Hi all Hunters,

By tonight I hope (about time, I know!) to hit lvl 80, at which point I shall be turning my attention to raiding and, of course, hit rating.

At lvl 70 I learnt that to cap HR for Hunters (without "sure footedness") I needed in the region of 144. However, I am now intrigued to learn what it might be for lvl 80 as I assume that it is not entirely linear and that I may need a greater HR score to be capped.

Apologies in advance if all this has been done-to-death on the chat-sites as I haven't really been keeping up with them.

Any guidance will be much appreciated!

The gist of it is you still need the same +hit% (8% for a raid boss, including any bonuses from talents), but "hit rating" has a lower coefficient of conversion to hit% at level 80 than it did at 70. You'll need more HR to get +8% hit than you did at 70, but it'll depend on your talent choices.

Dav, thanks that is an extremely useful and clear explanation for hunters and I recommend the link to anyone else who, like me, was not certain of the Hit Rating process at lvl 80.
