Welcome to Heroes of the Alliance!

Please make yourself at home, read the information on the website and then register for the forums.

Make sure you use your CHARACTER NAME when you register, so that the site recognises you when you log in.

Please direct any questions to any of the Officers.

Also if you're not a new member, get registered on the forums and start some conversation going! They're there to help us get to know each other better outside of WoW. We're a family now after all!

Looking forward to questing with you soon!

Future of the Guild
08/01/2008 01:48 AM by Davarnus.

Hey everyone,

The Officers had a meeting this weekend about the direction and the future of the guild, and the following points were discussed:

The Guild is in a very good position at the moment. We have a high number of very active players, and most people in the Guild are helpful, take part in Guild Chat and are all round great members.

We want Heroes of the Alliance to be in an even better position when Wrath of the Liche King is released, which is expected towards the 2nd half of this year. We want as many of the guild members to be level 70 as possible so we can all start at the same place when the level cap is raised to 80. We will take Northrend by storm! As a result we are going to take the step of introducing a minimum level to the guild.

With immediate effect, we are no longer accepting characters below level 20 into the guild. If you are under level 20, you need to stay active, and reach 20 by the end of January, because at the end of January we will remove any members that have not made it to level 20.

Following this we will then eventually raise the minimum level to 30, 40 and beyond.

This will also help us because the higher level players will not have to be forever running Deadmines or Stockades to level up lowbies. Instead they will be able to focus on improving their own characters, and helping members around their own level improve theirs.

If you have any questions regarding this, please send me or an Officer in-game mail, or start a conversation on the forums.

See you soon,

Davarnus

Happy New Year Everyone!
31/12/2007 05:57 PM by Davarnus.

Greetings Heroes,

2008 is upon us, and to celebrate I thought we could have a few competitions and events through January.

The first will be a recruitment competition. Whoever recruits the most new members before midnight on the 7th January will receive 100 gold.

Yes that's right. 100 gold!! That will buy you your mount at level 40, or go some way towards paying for a higher level mount!

The rules are as follows:

1) New Recruits must be level 30+
2) Recruits must stay in the guild at least one week to count
3) Only new members recruited in 2008 before midnight of the 7th January will count.

Sorry to those guildies who haven't been with us a week yet, because you are not able to invite people. But do not despair, because you will be able to take part in the next event coming in about 1 weeks time!

Oh and remember to please direct all new recruits to the website!

That's all folks

Happy Feast of Winter Veil!
16/12/2007 11:26 AM by Davarnus.

Hi

As you can't fail to have noticed, the Feast of Winter Veil has come to the World of Warcraft. I thought I'd answer a few of the most common questions here so everyone can get some of the cool rewards available:

Where can I get a santa costume?
There are Goblin machines in some cities (I found one on the dock in Booty Bay) that will turn you into a red or green suited gnome for 30 minutes.

I want to have a snowball fight
Snowballs can be bought from the vendors in IF, and also made from compacted snow in Dun Morogh and the Alterac Mountains

How can I get myself a reindeer?
Fresh Holly will turn your mount into a reindeer (until you dismount) and can be obtained by /kissing under the mistletoe in most inns. It disappears at the end of the Feast. From level 42 you can also obtain a quest to rescue Metzen the Reindeer which gives you 5 Preserved Holly which has the same effect but can be kept and sold in the middle of summer!

Where can I get a santa hat
These are cloth armour and they drop from certain high level bosses.

Green Hats
Goraluk Anvilcrack - Blackrock Spire
Prince Tortheldrin - Dire Maul
Darkmaster Gandling - Scholomance
Grand Warlock Nethekurse - The Shattered Halls (Heroic)
Exarch Maladaar - Auchenai Crypts (Heroic)
Grandmaster Vorpil - Shadow Labyrinth (Heroic)

Red Hats
Nethermancer Sepethrea - The Mechanar (Heroic)
Emperor Dagran Thaurissan - Blackrock Depths
War Master Voone - Blackrock Spire
High Botanist Freywinn - The Botanica (Heroic)
Cannon Master Willey - Stratholme
Captain Skarloc - Old Hillsbrad Foothills (Heroic)

How can I make some money out of this?
If you're quick, you could farm some Small Egg or Ice Cold Milk and put them on the Auction House. They sell for about 2 gold each because people want them to make Gingerbread Cookies for a quest. But very soon there wont be any more demand!

Anything else I can do?
The Abominable Greench has been sighted in Alterac, go hunt him down (Quest starts in IF)

How long does this go on for?
The Feast of Winter Veil ends on the 2nd January

Ho ho ho!
